From openmadrigal-users@openmadrigal.org Thu May 9 20:30:37 2002 From: openmadrigal-users@openmadrigal.org (John Holt) Date: Thu, 9 May 2002 15:30:37 -0400 (EDT) Subject: [OpenMadrigal-users] U. Mass Lowell Digisonde data Message-ID: <200205091930.PAA16802@chaos.haystack.mit.edu> The U. Mass Lowell Digisonde data has been stored in an experiment directory called /opt/madrigal/experiments/1976/mlh/03dec76. There was also a Millstone ISR experiment called /opt/madrigal/experiments/1976/mlh/03dec76h. Thus, while the digisonde did have a unique instrument code (2550), its mnemonic collided with the Millstone ISR mnemonic. Bill Rideout has now moved the digisonde data to /opt/madrigal/experiments/1976/uld/03dec76 and the ISR data to /opt/madrigal/experiments/1976/mlh/03dec76. Some programs, particularly those related to calibration of the ISR data may need to be changed. John Holt From openmadrigal-users@openmadrigal.org Fri May 17 17:17:45 2002 From: openmadrigal-users@openmadrigal.org (John Holt) Date: Fri, 17 May 2002 12:17:45 -0400 (EDT) Subject: [OpenMadrigal-users] Additions to Haystack Openmadrigal site Message-ID: <200205171617.MAA17642@chaos.haystack.mit.edu> All Millstone Hill I.S. Radar default data files at the Haystack Openmadrigal site now have catalog and header records at the beginning of the file. The velocity data in these files is now chirp-corrected. Local users who directly access the database through Fortran programs should no longer ask the Fortran library to do this correction. Several new Geopysical index files have been added to the database including IMF and Plasma data, Estimated Hemispheric power, Midnight Equatorward Boundry, Sunspot Number, AE and Dst. Time-coverage varies. These files were imported from the NCAR CEDAR Database and installed as is. They will eventually be reorganized to reduce access time to individual records. ________________________________________________________________________ | | | John M.
