From brideout@haystack.mit.edu Thu Jun 26 17:59:49 2003 From: brideout@haystack.mit.edu (William Rideout) Date: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 12:59:49 -0400 Subject: [Openmadrigal-admin] Madrigal 2.2.1 release Message-ID: <3EFB2685.5010702@haystack.mit.edu> Madrigal 2.2.1 is now available for download at the following site: http://www.haystack.edu/madrigal/madDownload.html The following summary is taken from that page (visit the link above for more complete infomation): ************************** Madrigal 2.2.1 is a minor release, with a bug fix and several new features since Madrigal 2.2. These changes are: * Global searches can now run either just on the local Madrigal database or on all the Madrigal databases at once (as suggested by Tony van Eyken). * By clicking on "Run Models", users can calculate any derived Madrigal parameter (such as magnetic fields, or geophysical parameters) for arbitrary times and ranges of position. * Loading of the isprint web page is now faster due to the automatic production of summary files. * New parameters: BHHMMSS and EHHMMSS (suggested by Mary McCready at SRI). * Bug fix: New releases of linux no longer support the mktime system call for dates before 1970. This caused a problem with older Madrigal files (since ISR predates UNIX). This problem has been fixed. (First seen at the Cornell installation). (Plans for Madrigal 2.3 include graphics support and a complete Matlab API, but please feel free to make any suggestions). ************************** As always, please feel free to contact me at brideout@haystack.mit.edu or 1-781 981 5624 with any installation concerns, question, or comments.
